The owner's task is to ensure that the dog feels safe - then it will not become timid or aggressive towards strangers, dog behavior specialist Eliise Valmis teaches.
Dogs are used to living in herds, and a herd can be formed just by the two of them together with the owner. Everyone who interacts more with herd members or becomes their own is like an extension of the herd. It mostly includes family members with whom you live, or relatives who visit more often, without leaving a very long gap.
